Privacy First, Analytics Second.
At Hike Load, we believe your personal trail data is yours alone. Our entire architecture is built to ensure we never even see the data you input.
1. Edge-Based Computation
Unlike traditional web applications that send your data to a remote server for processing, Hike Load uses "Client-Side Processing." This means every calculation—from your body weight ratio to your trail pace—happens exclusively within your computer or smartphone's memory.
2. The Zero-Cookie Policy
We have a strict policy against tracking cookies, marketing pixels, and cross-site scripts. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixels, or any other third-party tracking software that builds profiles of our users. We measure our success by the utility of our tools, not by the depth of your personal profile.
3. Information Collection and Use
Direct Communications: If you contact us via email (job097937@gmail.com), we receive your email address and any other information you choose to provide. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Log Data: Like all web servers, our host may collect standard log files (IP addresses, browser type, referring pages). This data is anonymized and used only for technical server maintenance and security monitoring.
4. GDPR and International Compliance
Although we do not collect personal data in the traditional sense, we adhere to the core principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This includes the right to be forgotten, data minimization, and purpose limitation. Since we don't store your trail data, "deleting" your data is as simple as closing your browser tab.
